A special thank you to the Stettinius Family, Katie & Steven Gewirz and Redskins cornerback Josh Norman for helping us to kick off “Joe’s Kids Fund”. Named in honor of Joseph Stettinius, Jr., a long-time supporter and dedicated member of the BGCGW family, the Fund will help to offset the membership costs for a youth to attend the Club. A founding member of the Youth in Real Estate Luncheon, a past honoree, and member of the BGCGW Metro Board of Directors for 15 years, Joe was a caring, compassionate advocate of the Club mission.
Over 120 guests attended the event at the Gewirz home. The evening began with welcoming remarks from Joe’s wife, Reg, and hostess Katie Gewirz. Club members and FBRNation Ambassadors, Jarrod Joshua and Elijah Butler, wowed the crowd with their personality and stories of how the Club is helping to shape their future plans. They provided the introduction of special guest, #24 Josh Norman.
One of the best cornerbacks in the NFL, Josh emphasized the importance of positive role models and stressed how the Club helps to fill that role. He made a personal commitment that night with a donation of $10,000 in support of BGCGW.
To run our daily programs and activities, it costs BGCGW $1,500 per child. We only charge the family $50, and we never turn a child away due to inability to pay. We are grateful to our generous contributors who help to make it possible for us to change the trajectory of so many young lives.
