Textile Day in the new art room at Clubhouse #14

Members and staff of  Ward 7’s Richard England Clubhouse #14 are proud and happy to announce that the Arts Room at the Club is now a true art room. To be an art room at this Club, steeped in a tradition of visual and performing arts, you need a tile floor with sure footing for dance, a sink, plenty of storage for arts materials and crisp white walls for art display. Our new space allows members to engage in a broad range of art projects. Not to mention that our Arts Director, Ms. Robyn Brown, can now embark upon a variety of crafts and fine arts projects to include more painting, more glitter and more “fabulousness.” Members will no longer need to worry about spilling on the carpet and will be able to create without inhibition!

Without the generosity of Carr Properties and Spectrum Construction, we know this could not be possible. Thank you to Mr. Oliver Carr for not only being a sponsor but also supervising the construction for two weeks. During those weeks, he and his team fixed up the room and anything else they saw that could be fixed – even fixing the leaks in the plumbing in both downstairs bathrooms. Thank you just doesn’t seem like enough to show how grateful we truly are.
Long live ART!
