NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY FOR CONTINUED FUNDING
In accordance with application requirements established by the Maryland State Department of Education, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) announces its intent to submit a Fiscal Year 2027 continuation application for Year 3 funding through the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers: Maryland Out-of-School Time Programs for the Future grant program.
If approved, the funding will support academic enrichment and out-of-school-time programming for eligible students attending Drew-Freeman Middle School during the 2026-2027 school year and the 2027 summer program.
The program will provide academic support and enrichment activities that complement students’ regular school-day instruction, including youth development, arts, music, STEM, physical fitness and wellness, behavioral health support, leadership development, and high school and career readiness. Families will also receive opportunities for meaningful engagement in their children’s education, including literacy and related educational development activities.
