NOTICE OF INTENT: In accordance with the application instructions from the Maryland State Department of Education, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington hereby submits this Notice of Intent to apply for a FY25 Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers: Maryland Out-of-School Time Programs for the Future grant serving Nicholas Orem Middle School, G. James Gholson Middle School , Charles Carroll Middle School, and Galway Elementary. The purpose of the grant is to provide opportunities for academic support and enrichment activities during non-school hours for all qualifying students. The 21st CCLC program will offer students a broad array of additional services, programs and activities designed to complement the regular academic program such as youth development activities, arts, music, physical fitness and wellness programs, behavioral health support, and high school readiness programming. This 21st CCLC program will offer families opportunities for active and meaningful engagement in their child’s education, including opportunities for literacy and related educational development.
