BE GREAT

Project BE GREAT is a free after-school program for all members age 5 to 13. Members participate in an array of Boys & Girls Clubs of America programs, special events, activity clubs and unique opportunities from community and corporate partners.

BGCGW Olympics

Club members are grouped into different countries. Club members research and learn about their country. Club members compete in various sporting games to earn medals for their respective countries.

Career Launch is a program for teens 13-18 that helps them to choose the college or career path that is right for them. The program offers workshops that teach interview skills, resume writing skills, and academic support.

Diplomas 2 Degrees

A college preparatory program in which Club members get the resources they need to understand key check points in the college admissions process. It focuses on goal setting and what steps need to be taken, as early as 7th grade, to obtain a post-secondary education.

Dumbarton: Undercover

A program that is done through a partnership with the Dumbarton Oaks Park Conservancy. 30 members participate in an environmental education program that includes projects, animal encounters, tree-plantings, clean-ups, and weekly field trips to Dumbarton Oaks Park.

Keystone

The keystone of every great organization is its participants, and we're no exception. To introduce participants to civics and democracy, Club Members ages 14 to 18 elect leaders and coordinate community service projects on behalf of the organization.

Club members learn the basics of modeling, grooming, fashion, and dress code. Club members will get to showcase all that they have learned in a fashion show as they walk the runway. Club members will also participate in a photoshoot.

Money Matters

Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13 to 18. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college.

Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 11 to 14. Passport to Manhood consists of 14 sessions, each concentrating on a specific aspect of character and manhood through highly interactive activities.

Young women get smart in this self-esteem building program focusing on education. Only for ages of 10 to 15, SMART Girls are encouraged to adopt healthy attitudes and make wise lifestyle decisions that will set them up for success.

A program where 15 middle-school members are chosen for this young leadership development group. They elect officers, organize meetings where they plan and execute service projects for the Club and community. Our members logged over 350 service hours within the last year.

A recognition program where each week, every member has a chance to be recognized in their age group for outstanding participation in after-school programs. A single Youth of the Year is selected to represent Jelleff in the most prestigious nation-wide competition to find that year's “Club Kid”.
