Meet Jarrod
This teen is extreme! Jarrod is an outgoing, enthusiastic Extreme Teen at the FBR@THEARC branch. In his seventh year as a Club kid, this 14-year-old, Ward 8 neighborhood kid is a true leader.
His activities in the Club range from being the secretary of Keystone Club to the co-manager of the Club Snack Shop. Jarrod also loves friendships he’s gained through male-centric programs such as GoodMen Leaders and YoungKings Leadership Council. His favorite hobbies include playing basketball, community activism, and spending time with his mom and siblings.
Jarrod leads Club tours and is an ambassador in the BGCGW family. To say that he is not camera shy is an understatement. He has been invited to share his Club experience at multiple events with tons of donors. Most recently, he had the honor of introducing Josh Norman at one of the organization’s fundraisers.
Teen Services Director, LeVar Jones describes him as having indelible charm and wit that cannot be denied. “2018 has been pivotal for Jarrod. In one year, he has taken hold of the Boys & Girls Club/FBR way of life and determined within himself that he will use these opportunities to prepare himself for a life of service to others. This is a natural trait in this young man that we are proud to foster here at FBRNation.”
We look forward to seeing Jarrod continue to transform into an influential leader in his community.
