Nola P. spent over nine years at the General Heiser Club, where she found more than just a place to go after school—she found a community. “I always looked forward to going because I knew I’d get to have fun, laugh, and make memories with my friends,” she says. The Club became a space where she felt seen, supported, and encouraged to be herself.

It was within those walls that Nola began to discover her voice and develop the confidence to pursue her goals with authenticity and drive. That foundation stayed with her, shaping her perspective and guiding her path long after she aged out of the program.

Today, Nola works as an Impact and Innovation Associate at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, bringing her journey full circle. She continues to grow personally and professionally, now exploring investing and building long-term financial stability—all while helping the next generation of Club members unlock their own potential.
