THANK YOU, Interested Volunteer,
We are extremely excited that you are interested in volunteering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW). Volunteers are an important part of our organization. We appreciate anyone who gives us the gift of their time. Your volunteerism makes a difference!
APPLICATION PROCESS
To volunteer with BGCGW Clubs/youth, the following process must be completed. Once all required actions are completed the Branch Director, Membership Clerk, or Point of Contact will reach out to confirm completion of the process. This process may take between 1-4 weeks; therefore, it is strongly encouraged to allow ample time to manage the application process from start to end.
Required Actions:
1. Completion of Volunteer Application and Signature to Consent to a Background Check.
2. Provide references for volunteering (Minimum of three; two professional & one personal), Branch Directors will contact references.
3. Complete and Submit Background Check Application sent to your email.
4. Complete and Provide Certification of the Child Sexual Abuse Prevention training.
5. Register for a volunteer membership within the MyClubHub Portal.
6. Report to the Club upon communication with Branch Director.
Completing this online form of interest does not guarantee acceptance into the volunteer program. If volunteer opportunities are not available, BGCGW will add you to a Volunteer Talent Pool. Branch Leaders may reach out when opportunities become available.
Once selected, acceptance to the volunteer program is contingent upon a satisfactory background check AND completion of all Required Actions.
All questions, concerns, or assistance at any point during this process should be communicated to the Branch Director, Membership Clerk, or Point of Contact working with you. Again, thank you and we look forward to working with you for our youth.
