The Capital Classic is the nation’s longest-running high school basketball all-star game, established in 1973 in Washington, D.C. It showcases top local DMV (DC/Maryland/Virginia) talent against elite players from across the U.S. The 53rd event, featuring boys and girls games, is set for April 4, 2026. Women’s game tip off @ 10:30AM, Men’s game tip off @ 12PM.

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Washington is the primary beneficiary of the 2026 Hoop Culture Capital Classic Presented By EventsDC. The Capital Classic has committed $50,000 from the net proceeds of the games to the BGCGW. Additionally, it is opening the doors of Capital One Arena for all members of the Clubs and their immediate household to attend the games for FREE!
