A college preparatory program in which Club members get the resources they need to understand key check points in the college admissions process. It focuses on goal setting and what steps need to be taken, as early as 7th grade, to obtain a post-secondary education.

Need a little homework help and focus? Never fear; the helpful homework hour is here. The Power Hour is designed to raise the academic proficiency of participants ages 6 to 12 with a comprehensive homework tutoring program.

Money Matters promotes financial responsibility and independence among Club members ages 13 to 18. Participants learn how to manage a checking account, create a budget, save and invest, start small businesses and pay for college.

Career Launch is a program for teens 13-18 that helps them to choose the college or career path that is right for them. The program offers workshops that teach interview skills, resume writing skills, and academic support.

Character

A program where 15 middle-school members are chosen for this young leadership development group. They elect officers, organize meetings where they plan and execute service projects for the Club and community. Our members logged over 350 service hours within the last year.

The keystone of every great organization is its participants, and we're no exception. To introduce participants to civics and democracy, Club Members ages 14 to 18 elect leaders and coordinate community service projects on behalf of the organization.

A recognition program where each week, every member has a chance to be recognized in their age group for outstanding participation in after-school programs. A single Youth of the Year is selected to represent the club in the most prestigious nation-wide competition to find that year's “Club Kid”.

Passport to Manhood promotes and teaches responsibility in Club boys ages 11 to 14. Passport to Manhood consists of 14 sessions, each concentrating on a specific aspect of character and manhood through highly interactive activities.

Young women get smart in this self-esteem building program focusing on education. Only for ages of 10 to 15, SMART Girls are encouraged to adopt healthy attitudes and make wise lifestyle decisions that will set them up for success.

The SMART Moves (Skills Mastery and Resistance Training) prevention/education program addresses problems such as drug and alcohol use and premature sexual activity.

Health

A Triple Play Program: Designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning in every part of the Club experience, Healthy Habits emphasizes good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving overall well-being.

A wide array of music programs are at the heart of the BGCGW's mission to advance the character of young people through creativity and the arts.

What are the keys to being healthy? (1) You need to eat smart. (2) You need to keep fit. (3) You need to maintain healthy relationships with your peers and adults. Put all three of these actions together, and you might call it a Triple Play recipe for success.
