What is renewable energy?  Pepco STEM Club is helping our kids discover the answers through an innovative curriculum that engages kids with science, technology, math and engineering.  Pepco Stem Club is a partnership between Pepco Holdings and Discovery Education, the leading provider of digital content and professional development for K-12 classrooms.
“Supporting STEM programming was an easy decision, as science, technology, engineering and math are exactly what Pepco is based on,” says Debbi Jarvis, Vice President, Corporate Citizenship & Social Responsibility.  The partnership provides BGCGW with rich and innovative programming for our Club members; training for our staff and critical resources that allow our kids to explore, engage with the curriculum.
For their part in the partnership, Discovery Education’s team of curriculum experts developed Pepco STEM Club’s digital courses which includes hands-on and virtual labs, engineering challenges, digital investigations, videos and career connections- all designed to immerse children in the grand challenges of science set forth by the National Academy of Engineering.
